Chewa (ชีวา) in Thai means ‘life’. Incorporated in 2012, Chewachem was named for the important role of chemical fertilizers in sustaining life through agriculture.
We are an integrated solutions provider that imports, trades, and distributes agricultural fertilizers and soil amendments. Buying fertilizers can be expensive and confusing. We help our customers navigate a very challenging supply chain.
We work with some of the world’s most reputable producers. We have sold over one million tons of fertilizer from over 20 unique countries. Understanding how our products are manufactured and used in the field is a key differentiator. We give our customers total logistics solutions from the mine to the factory and from the factory to the warehouse. We own a licensed customs brokerage and have over 40 approved fertilizer product licenses.
Our overall mission is to build strong and enduring relationships with our customers and suppliers to promote growth and education in the Thai agricultural sector. The keys to our success are a customer-focused approach, consistent access to high-quality raw materials and on-the-ground warehousing and logistics.
About the Owner
Ms. Thanchanok (Air) Suwanprasert
Ms. Thanchanok Suwanprasert, nicknamed ‘Air’, is from the Agricultural North Eastern Province of Nong Khai, Thailand. She has extensive experience in commodities, logistics, and supply chains. Air has been working in the fertilizer industry since 2009 representing several international traders and manufacturers before setting up her own company, Chewachem Ltd., in 2012. She has overseen tremendous growth since the company’s inception. Chewachem operates a wholly-owned customs brokerage and has over 40 approved licenses for raw materials and finished fertilizers. Chewachem retails about 12 branded products and is an authorized U.S. Borax Distributor. We have two distribution warehouses to serve our wholesale and retail customers.
Air has been on the Board of Directors for the Thai Fertilizers Producer and Trade Association (TFPTA) since 2016 and currently serves as Vice President.
She earned a Bachelors Degree in Business and is a graduate of several business executive and entrepreneur programs including, the Agriculture & Cooperatives Executive Program (ACE), Thai Highland Best Sustainable Agricultural Practices, Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) Intelligent Entrepreneur Program (IEP), S100 Young Self Made Entrepreneur by Thammasat Business School, Fast Track Entrepreneur (FTE), The Magic Number Accounting and Finance for SMEs, and the Singha Smart SME Program.
